Past & Current Projects:

  • The Ella C. Deloria Research Project in Indian Language, Culture and History. The Ella C. Deloria papers are available for research on line at the University of Indiana Web site. To View the Ella C. Deloria papers click here.
  • Publication of texts which preserve and teach the language and culture.
  • Preschool tuition and post-High School scholarships.
  • A facility to house, preserve and display examples of the Indian culture, items which the Foundation purchases as they become available and as funds permit.
  • Formal research to diagnose learning disabilities in Indian youth.
  • Distribution of clothing, bedding and books on the reservations.
  • Assist in the education and professional development of Indian people.
  • Summber camperships and general support of camping programs.
  • Special funding for filming of commemorative documentaries for the "Year of Reconciliation."
  • Support for Powwows, Native American Heritage Festivals and American Indian Awareness Week.
  • Summer recreation programs for on/off reservation participation.
  • Support for on reservation substance abuse outreach and referral programs.
  • Support of Boy's and Girl's clubs on reservations.
